| 0900hrs
Arrive at Infiniti dealership leave my beater and pick up the M45 sedan.
We all leave and commence with shooting of the vehicle. I have dubbed this sedan SAL9000 because of the voice recognition and the voice that responds to your commands. Smooth power band and good car...its an FR to.
1100hrs
Arrive at the AUDI dealership and pick up the latest Lotus Elise. I have to learn how to use stick all over again.
1200-1700hrs
Shooting commences at tantalus with both vehicles. I pull nominal G's going up hill with the M45. I do break the wheels loose on the S turns by the park and look out. I then take my turn behind the Elise once more. I manage to break the MR's in line four at around 6 thousand rpm and pull around 2 g's going down hill on the same turns. Coming up hill the process is repeated. My supervisor and I take turns and see which shots work best. I ran a total of 6 runs up and down. However we agreeded that it's best that this footage is edited out due to legal concerns, and the fact my supervisor is a way better driver than my self. We then commence with other shots of the interior engine etc. On the vehicles.
1800hrs.
I sadly have to drop off both vehicles at the dealerships. Like a dummy I made the mistake of leaving a CD in the nominal storage area in the Lotus, and the camera man forgot his pop tarts in the same vehicle.
Friday we recieve our second set of cars and assignments to shot. I'm hoping for an RX-8 or Z and the new Ridgeline! | | |
